Free Children’s Drama Classes - Confidence, Creativity, and Community

Looking for something that brings out the best in your child? Manx National Theatre’s free children’s drama classes are all about building confidence, encouraging imagination, and helping young people find their voice in a fun, supportive environment where they can truly be themselves.

Open to all and completely free to attend, these weekly sessions are designed for children of all abilities, whether they dream of performing on stage or simply want to feel more confident in who they are.

Through games, storytelling, movement, and performance, kids learn to express themselves, work as a team, and explore their creativity in ways that go far beyond the classroom.

We’ve seen children grow from shy first-timers into bold, beaming storytellers—and that’s what keeps us going.

Why Drama?

Drama isn’t just about acting. It’s about listening, problem solving, speaking up, and being heard. It’s about learning how to think on your feet, connect with others, and feel proud of who you are.

Here’s what drama classes can offer your child:

Confidence

They’ll learn to stand up, speak out, and believe in themselves.

Creativity

Through stories, characters and roleplay, they’ll explore their imaginations in safe, structured ways.

Communication skills

Drama helps children develop empathy, express emotions, and listen to others.

Friendships

Our classes are full of laughter, teamwork, and encouragement—perfect for making new friends.

A sense of belonging

Every child is welcomed just as they are. There’s no pressure, no auditions, and no experience needed.

Supporting Something Bigger

Our children’s drama classes are completely free to attend, and we’re proud to keep it that way. We believe every child deserves access to the arts, regardless of background or ability to pay.

These classes are run by Manx National Theatre, a local charity working to make drama and movement accessible to everyone on the Isle of Man. From community productions to adult movement classes, everything we do is about inclusion, creativity, and connection.

But like any good production we can’t do it alone.

We’re actively looking for sponsors and supporters to help us continue offering free sessions and open up even more opportunities for children and young people across the island.

If you're a local business or individual who believes in the power of the arts, we’d love to hear from you. Every bit of support helps us keep theatre alive and thriving in our community.
